Night Watch is a suspenseful thriller play by Lucille Fletcher about a woman who sees a dead man in the window across the way from her Manhattan townhouse: 

• Plot: Elaine Wheeler, a rich art lover with chronic insomnia, is troubled by memories and fears. When her husband steps away, she sees what she believes is a dead man in the window across the way. The police find nothing, and Elaine’s terror grows when she sees another body, this time a woman’s. The police are skeptical and dismiss Elaine as a neurotic nuisance.
